We are thrilled to announce that Intech Centre has been awarded a contract by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver a specially designed ESOL with Employability Programme for unemployed claimants at Islington Jobcentres.

This exciting initiative is tailored to help individuals improve their English language skills and enhance their employability, empowering them to take meaningful steps towards securing sustainable employment. Alongside group workshops, every participant will receive personalised, one-to-one support from a dedicated careers adviser to guide them through employability activities and help them achieve their goals.

Programme Highlights:

• Designed specifically for unemployed Jobcentre claimants.
• Classes are available for learners from Pre-Entry to Entry Level 3.
• 5 cohorts running simultaneously, ensuring tailored learning in small groups.
• Comprehensive support, including:
  • Confidence building sessions to help you feel ready to take on new challenges.
  • Tackling ageism and providing targeted support for those aged 50+ to overcome barriers in the job market.
  • Digital skills training for individuals unfamiliar with using computers, helping you access online resources and job opportunities.
  • Personalised one-to-one support from a careers adviser for CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation.
  • Workshops covering key employability skills such as searching for jobs and preparing for interviews.

Who Can Benefit?
If you are an unemployed Jobcentre claimant living in or around Islington, this programme could be your pathway to improved confidence, skills, and job opportunities.

This project will run until August 2025, providing long-term support for our community.
